Cheviot, New Zealand – March 26, 2019 - Mt. Beautiful New Zealand welcomes its new Winery Manager Jarred Whinham, just in time for the 2019 Vintage! Jarred will oversee daily winery operations at the Spotswood based Mt. Beautiful Winery located 9kms north of Cheviot. He will work closely with the Consulting Winemaker, Vineyard Manager, Viticultural Manager and CEO.

Jarred’s extensive winemaking expertise includes working in New Zealand, Australia, the U.S., France and Germany.  Recent positions he’s held include Claybridge and Maven in Marlborough, followed by Morton Estate in Hawke’s Bay, Francois Lurton in Minervois, France and De Bertoli Wines in New South Wales.

2017 Mt. Beautiful Pinot Noir

It is gorgeously fruited and expressed on the nose showing dark cherry, spiced plum, floral and almond characters with hints of game and mushroom. The palate is concentrated and refined, displaying lovely fruit purity together with subtle savoury nuances, beautifully framed by polished tannins. Wonderfully composed and styled. 2017 Mt. Beautiful Pinot Gris

A lovely elegant rendition; the delicately fragrant bouquet shows white flesh stone fruit, fresh pear, blossom and spice aromas, followed by a finely textured palate that is pristine and flowing.
